Thesis Statement

The problem with education is that students have no interactions with nature nor the community. According to an article written by Stephen Siu in 2014 on healthy campuses, "...open spaces create an area for activities in a natural setting that will encourage impromptu meetings and discussions and provide fresh air for stressed students". Providing harsh campus grounds with concrete open spaces that are surrounded by tall concrete walls that do not give any visibility or connection to the outside calls for safety measures since most of the danger is inside the campus.

Essence is mainly focusing on the educational facility and how the students interact with nature and the community. Open spaces on the site will enhance the interactions between the students and the public around them. The program on the site is also a way that not only the students will be able to enjoy, but also the community around them.
